WHALE PROVES TO BE A MAJOR HIT AT IFAT MUMBAI

Whale Enterprise (P) Ltd (“WEPL”) reported significant interest at the inaugural IFAT exhibition last week, with the launch of their new vehicle the “LiteJet”, a compact jetting machine, proving to be one of the major highlights of the exhibition.

The three day event (24th-26th October) in Mumbai was the first time this major trade fair for the Water, Sewage, Refuse and Recycling Industries has been staged and it drew 131 exhibitors from around the globe and more than 6,000 visitors from India and abroad.

“The concept of a compact jetting machine, manufactured here in India with the technical expertise of the UK parent company proved to be instant hit” said Shajahan, the Director of WEPL. “Customers from almost every segment, from the government bodies to private and public contractors – both national and international – were impressed by its performance and level of quality.” he added.

In addition to the LiteJet, WEPL were also able to show media content of other parts of its growing product range, including the CombiWhale – a jetting cum suction machine widely used by government bodies and by contractors for sewage cleaning and suction; the SuperSucker, a high-end suction machine with blower as well as the KaiserWhale, a sophisticated jetting and suction system which re-cycles the sludge and takes water from sludge for jetting.

The parts manufactured in India by Whale Enterprise also drew a lot of attention, especially Whale’s own “Molex” ball valves, butterfly vales and unloader valves.

Also on display were parts from other OEMs for which Whale Enterprise have distribution agreements in India. These included the Moro PM 70, a vacuum pump used for sewage suction and a range of jetting nozzles from Nuova Contec. All proved to be a talking point for dealers, distributors as well as service providers to marine and fire departments.

Speaking at the end of the show, Managing Director of WEPL & Whale Tankers UK Mark Warmington said, “We have been thrilled with the level of interest that our products have received over all three days of the show. I feel, the sincere efforts and dedicated work of TEAM WHALE has been rewarded”.

His colleague Chris Anderson, the Commercial Director of Whale UK, added “We have been greatly encouraged by the huge potential in the Indian market and we are already planning and would be working on few more launch products at IFAT 2014”.
